Sarah Palin In Stockings This Christmas - Gifts You May Not Wish to Receive from Santa

Sarah Palin "Going Rogue" selling truck loads shocker! It seems the warnings in a recent article about the link between Christmas and autobiographies has gone largely unheeded and we are all destined yet again to wake up on Christmas morning and feel that oh so familiar shape of an autobiography beneath the pristine wrapping.

Love her or loathe her, it also seems many of you will be able to settle down to some Sarah Palin reading once the Christmas Turkey and copious amounts of pudding have done their best to settle.

We whinge and gripe about these celebrities and famous people and are often disgusted about the unhealthy amount of money they seem to be making. What's our next move? We go out and buy their books and put another $20 or $30 dollars into their vacation fund! There seems to have been a logic breakdown somewhere, don't you think?

What is our fascination with these peoples lives anyway? Okay, so Sarah Palin has tried her hand at a bit of politics and caused quite a stir but is there really going to be some golden nugget of information hidden within the pages of " Going Rogue: An American Life" that is going to enrich all our lives and make us better people?

We are a gossip obsessed society and a blame based society. Something has gone wrong somewhere, so let's vilify them, hang them out to dry and then let them write a book telling us all how we have vilified them and hung them out to dry! Better still, lets then contribute to their upcoming multi millionaire status by buying the book in such vast quantities that they can then write another book about all that happened to them on their last book tour!

Is there a gossip section in bookstores yet or do most celebrity autobiographies just get filed under fiction and how do we know if we can believe anything we find in the "true stories" section anymore?

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Autobiography!

Sarah Palin for President? On Sunday 29th May 2011, Sarah Palin appeared at the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally on the back of a Harley Davidson, wearing a black leather jacket, black helmet and pants to match as she kicked off her "One Nation" bus tour. Although, unconfirmed, many believe that the tour will be a launching pad for her to announce that she intends to become a presidential candidate and do battle with Barack Obama in 2012. (Update)

Don't worry Julian. I won't be one of those to buy this book. If I want some good history, I will turn to God's word, the Bible.

God bless,

Michelle

Actually, I received "Rogue" in my stocking this year (yes, I asked for it!) and am looking forward to reading it.
