Cyber Monday is now just hours away! This is not the day that machines destroy mankind (at least not in that sense) but of course the day when your fingers can do all the shopping instead of your feet! That is if you have any cash left at all, after Black Friday and silly Saturday!

There will be more potential gifts being keyed into Google than perhaps at any other time of the year so perhaps work bosses won't be too surprised when productivity isn't at its usual capacity on Monday.

Online retailers have been counting down the weeks, days and hours until their big bonanza and will be offering bargains galore and super sales on hosts of products in the hope that the public will cram in most of their Christmas shopping in a few crazy online hours. Perhaps there should be a cyber Monday every week?

Will Zappos.com zap the last bit of credit out of credit cards or will Amazon make an assault on your wallet and last few pennies? All the big hitters will be out to shift yet more units. Will Playstation3 outsell Microsoft's Xbox360 and will videogame sensation, Modern Warfare 2 continue to leave all other games trailing in its dust regardless of console.

All rested and recuperated after a Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends? Yes, you know the drill, its four weeks until Christmas, the shopping days are evaporating and their won't be a moments rest in retail land until December 25 th itself and even then it will be just a day before the New Year Sales rush kicks in! So much for a financial crisis!

I went to the local Walmart (Austin, TX) on Friday at about 5 and...it was dead. Not really dead, but it had about the traffic of a normal Saturday. For the first time ever it looked like Walmart had actually over staffed...
