Gino D'acampo and fellow "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" contestant, Stuart Manning have been ordered to appear in court in February 2010 in connection with the alleged killing and subsequent cooking and eating of a wild rat in the camp of the reality TV show.

The incident is causing quite a stir (fry) with animal rights campaigners and media alike as accusations of animal cruelty are aimed at the show and its celebrities. Has reality TV finally gone too far and just how in control of proceedings are the show's producers and organisers?

ITV, the TV channel in charge of "I'm a Celebrity", has recently issued a statement apologising for the incident and promising to tighten regulations. Will this be enough to calm the media storm being kicked up around not only this show but the future of reality TV in general?

Chef Gino D'acampo went on to win and be crowned king of the jungle, with Kim Woodburn of "How Clean Is Your House" fame finishing in second place in the series, which had earlier seen Katie Price aka Jordan leave the jungle of her own accord after the public continually voted for her to perform the Bushtucker trials.

In other reality TV news, Simon Cowell's X Factor favourite, Danyl Johnson was eliminated in the semi final after losing the public vote! The X Factor final will draw in a huge television audience when the final three go head to head on Saturday 12th December.
