Yeardley Love, who was brutally murdered in her apartment on Monday, has been remembered and respected by a community in mourning.

The University of Virginia student was a Lacrosse player and was just 22 years old when her life was savagely cut short. Her body was reportedly discovered with horrific injuries.

Her ex boyfriend George Huguely, was arrested and charged with Love's murder.

The funeral service was held at The Cathedral of Mary our Queen in North Baltimore and was full to capacity with family, friends and others who just wanted to show their support and pay their respects to a girl often known as "Yeards" to her nearest and dearest.

Yeardley Love's lacrosse coach, Julie Myers, paid tribute as she spoke at the funeral, "She was truly remarkable, not because she tried to be, but because she just was."

Some of George Huguely's lacrosse team mates were in attendance and served as pall bearers. After the conclusion of the service, Yeardley's casket was driven away to a private burial service where she would finally be laid to rest.
