Weight Loss Plan - New Tumble Dryer Diet Creates Incentive to Lose Pounds and Burn Fat

Most polite people wouldn’t really describe me as fat. Not to my face at least! To be honest, I really didn’t consider myself as fat until after some routine tests at the hospital; a doctor kindly informed me that I was “clinically and medically obese”. Ouch!
Admittedly, I don’t do anywhere near as much exercise as I used to or indeed should and in a previous article I have described my addiction to all things chocolate but I still didn’t expect to find myself in a category with the word “obese” in it! Alas, here I am, speeding towards forty and needing to lose some serious poundage in order to be pronounced healthy again.
However, the first few weeks of my diet went really well and several pounds just fell off simply by cutting certain foods out and not a drop of exercise! Sadly the good times are over and I have hit a wall, which basically means I now have to work hard for every lost pound.
I stumbled (or perhaps I should say tumbled) across a most unlikely source of inspiration, our ancient and surely soon to die tumble dryer. Without actually risking life and limb by clambering inside and going for a spin, how can a tumble drier help you lose weight I hear you all cry!
There are 2 main requirements for this particular diet to be effective. The first is a faulty tumble dryer and the second is a total unwillingness to purchase any new clothes and an utter determination not to add to your current wardrobe in any shape or form. If these two things are in place, then get ready to shed the pounds!
A broken timer dial (perhaps I’m giving away the age of the machine here) on a tumble dryer spells certain disaster for clothing and any other fabric that may be present inside the dryer. A shirt that was once comfortable and roomy and has spent several hours too long in the machine becomes trendy and “slim fit” without any problem at all. A pair of pants that were once considered baggy become drainpipes, I think you get the picture.
Now then, your commitment to not buying any new clothes comes into its own as you battle and work to fit into your shrunken outfits. I find that the sheer effort involved trying to squeeze into them is a calorie burner in itself but the incentive to lose weight and not to waste those perfectly decent clothes is great!
At this point it’s important not to rest on your laurels by getting the tumble dryer fixed, because once the clothes go through their next wash and dry cycle they will inevitably be another couple of sizes smaller, and right there is your next target!
Of course this is a ludicrous, silly diet and a ridiculous weight loss plan, but hey, whatever works right?
One warning to bear in mind though, be very careful not to use your faulty tumble drier in the evening and go to bed without checking on it. We awoke one morning recently and discovered the machine had been on all night. It may have been my imagination but it appeared as though the whole house had shrunk!

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)That was amusing Julian- Recently I was trying on some of my jeans in preparation for Fall- I discovered, to my horror, that I couldn't snap or zip my favorite ones- Well, I marched into the kitchen and threw out all the cookies, candy bars and cupcakes I had, I didn't have to throw out the ice cream, I had already eaten it all. Anyway- after a couple weeks of not indulging in those most desired treats- I found that I could at last fit into my jeans again. That was an incentive for me.LOL- Always- EllaHi Ella, thanks so much for reading! I am glad you enjoyed and got a chuckle from the article. Amazing what a good incentive can do! Thanks again, Julian
