Facebook SearchWarp Competition - Log in, Find Friends, Like, Share and Win Prize

With the facebook friends craze showing no sign of abating anytime soon and some remarkable statistics showing that there are often more referrals to websites through the facebook social network than through the Google search engine, there has probably never been a better time to have a competition to tie it all together.

However, trying to win the competition is another matter altogether as the winner is the SearchWarp member who can attract the most unique clicks of the “Facebook Like” button (you know the one, the little blue button you see everywhere you go on the internet, little “f”, little “like”) to their articles written in a given month. (In this case November 2010)

You could win it with one hugely popular article or you could win it with a multitude of articles with an accumulation of “likes”, at least that’s how I understand it.

The winner is quite likely (but not certain) to be someone with an already established list of friends on Facebook who already “like” everything they share.

Another chance of winning would be to write articles that appeal to the masses. You may only have a few facebook friends yourself, but if they all find your articles supremely interesting, they are likely to share it themselves and that’s when you could really have something “viral” on your hands.

It’s a really clever competition for SearchWarp to run and if it proves successful, who knows, they may run another one in the future.

Anyway, don’t forget where that little blue button is, friend!

I see you are about half way up the leaderboard too Steve! (Look under "Cool Stuff at the top of the SearchWarp page") Who knows, a late surge and you could win it!

I haven't been on facebook in a while and my articles are in a slow period. My computer is fighting with me and doesn't want to keep running. I'll have to look for the next contest and maybe break down and use my new laptop. I hate change. Thanks for writing this article to wake some of us up.
